about

A ghostly atmosphere, dark sounds and an unusual voice: strong and powerful on one hand, sad and mysterious on the other... That can only be Mick Moss! He's just returned to us with another offering from his flagship project Antimatter! Here comes another avalanche of extraordinary sounds, which you will hear on the album "A Profusion of Thought".

Antimatter's new material brings everything the leader has accustomed us to. Lots of emotion, electric darkness and mesmerizing trance, which is impossible to pass by with indifference. This music devours the listener completely, and for 53 and a half minutes takes control of one' s mind. Ten compositions (the longest of which lasts a little over seven minutes), take us into the world of atmospheric rock, supported by a large dose of electronics and even the presence of instruments such as the saxophone!

An interesting fact about "A Profusion of Thought" is that the ideas for the individual tracks contained on the album had been lying in the artist's archives for some time. During the creative processes of previous Antimatter productions, they simply did not fit on the band's subsequent albums . For example, work on the song "Breaking the Machine", which was originally intended to be on "Lights Out", began in 2001, and came to an end in 2022. Despite that, none of the material, not for a second, gives the impression of a chaotic compilation. These tracks are arranged very thoughtfully and form an integral, very emotional whole. This only confirms what creative skills lie in the extraordinary and certainly one of the most interesting figures of atmospheric rock in recent years, that is Mick Moss.
